The Marron family has dedicated themselves to bringing Annalise back to health. Her mom, Cheryl, talks about the many therapies and actions that their family took to get Annalise to eat normally again. Their main battle took over four years, and is still an ongoing conversation in their home.

The Road to Healthy Eating.

Cheryl and Annalise teamed up with the Parent University at Saratoga Springs School District bringing awareness of eating disorders to help educate families, providers, teachers about the ins and outs of this life threatening disease.

Giving Guidance At School.

Now Annalise dedicates her spare time to helping others battling eating disorders. In 2019, the Marron family founded a charitable non-profit to help other families on the long road to health. Through Flutters of Hope Inc., Annalise and Cheryl help families throughout New York State find hope and healing. Annalise creates and delivers Butterflywish Baskets to those who are recovering from an eating disorder.

Helping Others Fight.

Annalise always remembers the self-critical thoughts from as young as three. Her anorexia began when she was 11 years-old. She has said that she could never escape the never-ending thoughts she had until she felt a “high” from not eating.
